Prayers for Coronavirus Outbreak
Keep us, good Lord,
under the shadow of your mercy,
in this time of uncertainty and distress.
Sustain and support the anxious and fearful
and lift up all who are brought low;
that we may rejoice in your comfort
knowing that nothing can separate us
from your love in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Prayers for those in isolation
God of compassion,
be close to those who are ill,
afraid or in isolation.
In their loneliness, be their consolation;
in their anxiety, be their hope;
in their darkness, be their light;
through him who suffered alone
on the cross,
but reigns with you in glory,
Jesus Christ our Lord.
Prayers for Medical Staff & Researchers
give skill, sympathy and resilience
to all who are caring for the sick,
and your wisdom to those researching for a cure.
Strengthen them with your Spirit,
that through their work
many will be restored to health;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Prayers for those who mourn during this time of the Coronavirus COVID-19
Lord of all gentleness.
You are close to the broken-hearted.
We entrust into your care
those who mourn the loss
of a loved one this day.
Surround them with our love
and comfort them in their sorrow.
Grant that they may not be overwhelmed
by their loss.
May they know the consolation and support
of the Christian community
Give them confidence in your goodness
and strength to meet the days ahead.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Prayers for Health Care Workers
God of everlasting goodness,
you sent your Son among us
to bring healing, peace, and reconciliation
to our weary world.
Be with all health care workers and their assistants
in this time of the Coronavirus pandemic.
As they continue Jesus’ ministry of care,
renew them in mind, body, and spirit.
Keep them safe from infection and illness,
and may Christ’s healing presence
flow through them
as they serve those entrusted to their care.
We ask this in his name,
Christ the healer,
who is Lord forever and ever.

Marian Prayer for Our Time
O Mary, Health of the Sick,
you always shine on our path
as a sign of salvation and of hope.
We entrust ourselves to you.
You know what we need,
and we are sure you will provide
so that, as in Cana of Galilee,
we may return to joy and to feasting
after this time of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to do as we are told by Jesus,
who has taken upon Himself our sufferings
and carried our sorrows,
leading us through the cross
to the joy of the Resurrection.
